Welcome to the Martin Public Schools community.  I am excited to be a part of this small, friendly and changing school community and I hope you will join us as we, together, move to a new era in how we help our students learn.

Martin Public Schools provides an opportunity for educating your child in a safe and personal environment.  As a district of 582 students all of our students have an opportunity to be involved in all school activities.  Teachers and support staff know each student by name and provide a personal level of support to their educational experience.  This extra support is the key to the high quality of education and success of our students.

This year many new and exciting changes are coming to all levels of our school district.  We are excited about restructuring the building so that the elementary will include the sixth grade, junior high will be in a separate location and the high school will have its own location and activities.  The high school has greatly expanded the opportunities for all students with Career Technical Education (CTE), Dual Enrollment ( college and high school credit) classes, unlimited on-line classes and an opportunity to accelerate to advanced classes or to slow down to remediate and expedite credit recovery.  In all grade levels we will focus on “prescriptive education”, learning that is focused on the specific needs of each student. 

Thank you to the community for supporting the bond construction project which has provided a new learning environment for our students and the latest technology for each classroom.  Our students have a safe and comfortable learning space and for that we are very grateful.

I look forward to a new year at Martin Public Schools and to the many new and exciting experiences our students and families will enjoy this coming school year.
